On Tuesday, 22nd November 2022 the first round of Comórtas Díopóireachta an Phiarsaigh was held in Foxford, Co. Mayo.
Today we are delighted to congratulate Emmanuella Peter-Olabiyi, Jamie Corcoran and Calum Corcoran who have progressed to the next round of the competition.
Maeve Creighton, Aisling McFadden and Lauren Dolan also competed in the junior section of the competition.
1st Year Healthy Relationships Programme

The Sligo Leitrim Home Youth Liaison Service (HYLS) will deliver a programme specifically tailored and designed for students aged between 11 and 13 around the topic of 'Healthy Vs Unhealthy Relationships' to our 1st Year students starting next week.
A letter explaining the programme has been sent home with 1st Years this afternoon.
If any parent/guardian of a 1st Year student does not wish their child to participate in this programme, please note this in your child's School Journal. The programme will consist of one class a week for four weeks.
Senior Cycle Options 2023

It is time for our 3rd and Transition Year students to decide which senior cycle programme they wish to follow during the school year 2023/2024.

All 2nd Year students received a letter today to allow them express their interest in travelling to Italy with the school in May 2023.
This letter must be returned to Ms. Wallace by Tuesday, 18th October 2022.
1st Year Parents'/Guardian's Night

The parents/ guardians of our 1st Year students are invited to attend our annual 1st Year Parents' Night on Wednesday, 19th October 2022 at 7.30pm in the school.
The gathering offers a chance to meet and hear Mr. Liam Moroney, Psychologist, who will offer advice on how parents/ guardians can best support their child during their time in school. He will also update parents/ guardians on the findings of his student survey which was conducted at the end of theSettling-In period.
All parents/ guardians of 1st Years students are welcome to attend.
TY Trip to Microsoft

The Transition Year group travelled to Dublin yesterday to visit Microsoft's Dream Space Academy.
The first meeting of the Parents' Association will take place on Thursday, 22nd September 2022 at 7.30pm in the school.
The purpose of this meeting is to place the association on a sound footing for the remainder of the year. We will provide tea/ coffee and cake and we will spend some time chatting about our school and reviewing some policies. The business element of the meeting should take no longer than 45 minutes while there is no time limit for the tea/coffee!
