Please note that there are three pages to this form and the form must be completed in one sitting. Incomplete forms will not be considered for enrolment to Carrick-on-Shannon C.S.

Data Protection:

All fields are required and the information gathered on this form will be used for the following purposes:

  • fulfilling our legal obligation to provide an education to students
  • student enrolment and student registration
  • allocation of teachers and resources to the school
  • school administration
  • to fulfill our other legal obligations
  • to process appeals, resolve disputes and defend litigation etc.
  • to begin the process of building a timetable for the school year 2022/ 2023

You have the following statutory rights that can be exercised at any time:

By law, Carrick-on-Shannon Community School is required to hold a copy of your child's Long Birth Certificate and two copies of current utility bills of the home address registered to the household recorded in this form. You can present these at the school office or post them to us at your convenience. We will return all original documents to you. Your child cannot be registered in Carrick-on-Shannon C.S. until we have received this documentation.

Craft Classes (Needle Felting)

Craft Classes in Needle Felting for parents/guardians of Carrick-on-Shannon Community School will begin on Monday, 4th March 2024 from 9am to 11am.

Leaving Certificate Polish

Post-Primary Languages Ireland, a dedicated unit of the Department of Education, is organising an information session on the Polish Leaving Certificate specification, portfolio, and sample papers. It aims to help students and parents to become familiar with the curriculum and identify suitable supports for the study, mostly for those who do not have access to the classes in school.

The information session will take place on 27th of February 2024, at 7 p.m. and will be hosted online.

TCD - Spring Open Day

All classes will finish at 3.45pm on that day.

  • Monday, 27th November - Enrolment Process Begins (Stage 1)
  • Thursday, 7th December - Open Night 2024
  • Friday, 15th December - Stage 1 of Enrolment Closes
  • Monday, 22nd January - Stage 2 of Enrolment Opens
  • Friday, 9th February - Stage 2 of Enrolment Closes
  • Saturday, 9th March - Students invited to take another tour of the school

As per our School Calendar 2023/2024, Carrick-on-Shannon Community School will be closed on Monday, 2nd October 2023.

Classes will resume on Tuesday, 3rd October 2023 at 9am.
