The wait is nearly over...

A reminder that the Leaving Certificate Results will be available from the school between 9am and 12pm on Wednesday, 15th August 2018.

After 12pm, students can get their results online by clicking here. Candidates will need their PIN to access this site. Individual PINs are available from the front office of the school.

There are lots of options available for every student after the Leaving Certificate Exams. All students should take a little time to consider what they would like to do next. 

We all wish our Leaving Certificate students the very best of luck! 

Leaving Certificate Results

The Leaving Certificate results will be available from the school on the morning of Wednesday, 15th August 2018 between 9am and 12pm.

Results not collected by that time will be forwarded by post.

Back to School

It's August and it's time to start thinking about returning to school!

We look forward to welcoming our new 1st Years to Carrick-on-Shannon Community School on Monday, 27th August 2018. 

3rd and 6th Years will return to school on Tuesday, 28th August 2018 while.

All remaining classes will return to school on Wednesday, 29th August 2018.

Summer Holidays

Carrick-on-Shannon Community School will close at 1.15pm on Friday, 1st June for the Summer Holidays.

We wish all our students a pleasant and safe summer break.

Leaving Certificate Graduation

Congratulations to the Leaving Certificate Class 2018 who held their Graduation Ceremony today, 22nd May 2018.

The staff and management of the Community School wish them every success and happiness in the future, and we look forward to working with them in school over the next two weeks.

CAO Handbook Changes

A number of changes have been made to the CAO Handbook.

A total of 28 new courses have been added while 41 courses previously listed are no longer available. Students should now check to see if their chosen course is still on the list of courses for 2018/ 2019.

SciFest Survey

As part of a project for Scifest, a number of students would like your help in completing a short survey.

The project is investigating current trends and attitudes towards the purchase of medicines online.

If elligible, get your application in early. The sooner you apply, the sooner you find out if you will receive a grant.
