IT Sligo Virtual Open Week

IT Sligo will host a Virtual Open Week this week between the 12th and 15th May.

Leaving Cert students, parents and School Guidance Counsellors are invited to take part by visiting www.itsligo.ie/caovirtualevents/

School Reopening

All schools are now scheduled to reopen in September 2020.

We will update the calendar on this website during the summer holidays with all the important dates for the next school year.

We have already begun preparing for the new school year including planning measures we can take if social distancing is still required.

Until then please continue to follow government advice to stay home and stay safe.

SUSI Grant Scheme - 6th Year Notice

Click on www.susi.ie for information on all aspects of student grants. You will also find information around this process here.

Use the Eligibility Reckoner to quickly assess whether you may be entitled to a grant while remaining within the education system after secondary school.

If elligible, get your application in early. The sooner you apply, the sooner you find out if you will receive a grant.

Office 365 for Students

While the school is closed, students can access materials from their teachers through their Office 365 Account.

If any student has forgotten their account details (username and password) they should email office365@carrickcs.ie and we will make every effort to resolve the situation during school hours (9am - 4pm, Mon - Thurs, 9am - 1.15pm, Fri)

College Open Day

The Monaghan Institute will hold their Open Day on Thursday, 5th March 2020 from 11am to 7pm.

This might be of interest to students interested in taking an alternative route to both higher education and employment.

State Exams Fees 2020

Candidates taking the Junior Cycle or Leaviing Certificate examinations in June 2020 are reminded that the fees for these examinations must be paid by the 30th April 2020.

Fees can be paid online at fees.examinations.ie

The fees are as follows:

    • Leaving Certificate    €116
    • Junior Cycle             €109
    • Repeat Leaving         €301

A letter for parents/ guardians will issue from the school over the coming weeks with full details of payment exemptions (for medical card holders) etc.
