1st Year Induction

Our 1st Years have completed their initial induction to Carrick-on-Shannon Community School.

Today they met with Mr. Liam Moroney, Psychologist, as part of their Settling-In Programme.

Mr. Moroney gave each student a Parents' Information Pack to bring home with them. This pack contains some excellent materials to assit you in supporting your child as they begin their journey in secondary school.

Summer Works

There are two projects being completed in the Community School this summer.

Our roof, which has been known to leak every now and then, is being repaired and will be completed for the start of the new year.

We are also installing a new heating system in our Sports Complex and that will also be ready for the new academic year.

As part of that project, solar panels will be installed on the main school building to improve our environmental footprint.

Of course, if that wasn't enough, we have begun the planning for our new school extension. It's going to get very busy around here!
