Office 365 for Students

While the school is closed, students can access materials from their teachers through their Office 365 Account.

If any student has forgotten their account details (username and password) they should email and we will make every effort to resolve the situation during school hours (9am - 4pm, Mon - Thurs, 9am - 1.15pm, Fri)

College Open Day

The Monaghan Institute will hold their Open Day on Thursday, 5th March 2020 from 11am to 7pm.

This might be of interest to students interested in taking an alternative route to both higher education and employment.

State Exams Fees 2020

Candidates taking the Junior Cycle or Leaviing Certificate examinations in June 2020 are reminded that the fees for these examinations must be paid by the 30th April 2020.

The fees are as follows:

    • Leaving Certificate    €116
    • Junior Cycle             €109
    • Repeat Leaving         €301

A letter for parents/ guardians will issue from the school over the coming weeks with full details of payment exemptions (for medical card holders) etc.

Irish Debating

Best of luck to Hannah Thornton, Ryan Mulligan, and Sorcha O'Reilly who are participating in the Quarter Finals of the Gael Linn, Comórtas  Díospóireachta an Phiarsaigh 2020 in Foxford later today.

Teachers Required

Qualified teachers who are registered with the Teaching Council and are interested in providing tuition under the DES Home Tuition Scheme are asked to contact the school on 071 9620880 immediately.

Basketball Success!

Congratulations to our boys Under 16 Basketball team and their coaches, Ms. Flynn and Mr. Dolly, on reaching the All-Ireland Finals which will take place later this year in Dublin.

State Examinations E7A Forms (LC)

The State Examinations E7A Form for Leaving Certificate will be distributed to students on Friday, 10th January 2020 in the school.

These forms are required by the State Examinations to identify the subjects students wish to sit during their Leaving Certificate examination.

The completed forms must be returned to the school on Tuesday, 14th January 2020. Students will be called to the Principal's office on that day so the forms can be checked. All Leaving Certifcate students will receive a sticker with their unique exam number printed on it for future reference.

Creative in Castlebar

We would like to extend our best wishes to Anna Stenson, Sarena Fallon, Áine Lyons and Leonie McKiver who will be performing in a Christmas ballet, Highlights of the Nutcracker, in the Royal theatre Castlebar over the weekend.

The show begins at 2pm and will see Anna performing the role of Clara while Leonie, Áine and Sarena will each showcase unique dance styles from around the world.

The production is a collaboration between Victoria Walker Dance and the Mayo Youth Orchestra and features professional guest ballet dancers. It promises to be a great occasion and we wish all involved the very best of luck!

Award Winners

Congratulations to Kevin Brady who recently received an Entrance Scholars Award from University College Dublin. 

We also congratulate Ryan McGowan who received an Entrance Exhibition Award from Trinity College Dublin. Ryan has also been awarded a JP McManus All-Ireland Scholarship.
