Transition Year Debating Success
12 Feb 2021
Our Transition Year Irish Debating Team, Nicole Gallagher, Paddy O’Hora and Mark McMahon submitted excellent entries to the Diospóireachtaí Gael Linn debating competition at the end of November. The competition is in a different format this year due to Covid 19 restrictions.
The students worked very hard in preparing their speeches and their wonderful talent, dedication, and commitment to excellence was evident in their final recordings.
Well done to all three students and congratulations to Nicole and Paddy who will compete in the next round of the competition. Our students have had great success in this competition in recent years and we wish Nicole and Paddy the very best in their preparation for the next round.
Ghlac scoláirí na hIdirbhliana, Nicole Gallagher, Paddy O’Hora agus Mark McMahon páirt sa Chomórtas Diospóireachta an Phiarsaigh, eagraithe ag Gael Linn ag deireadh mhí na Samhna. Bhí caighdeán a gcuid óráidí sár-mhaith agus rinne an triúr acu a seacht ndícheall. Comhghairdeas libh! Rachaidh Nicole agus Paddy ar aghaidh go dtí an chéad bhabhta eile. Guímis gach rath orthu.

Digital Champions
23 Nov 2020
Pictured are the Certificates of Participation for last year's Digital Champions, signed by Ministers Norma Foley and Eamon Ryan. Names have been crossed out to comply with GDPR.
The Digital Champions projects involved teaching Coding, HTML webdesign and Internet Safety to our 1st Year students. The Digital Champions were inspired by their visit to Microsoft's Dreamspace educational area in Dublin last March.
This year's Digital Champions are very busy creating video tutorials and teaching Internet Safety to the 1st Years.
